Please note that training at Bexley AC will be suspended until at least the end of May due to the present situation with Coronavirus.

Please rest assured that this decision has not been taken lightly and all matters have been considered against the present uncertainty and specifically updated following the latest advice this morning from England Athletics:

www.englandathletics.org/athletics-and-running/news/coronavirus-statement

We hope to resume our activities as soon as possible and will keep you all informed as frequently as we can. For the time being, your patience and understanding is appreciated.

The Club's committee had already considered the present fast-moving situation in detail and its obligation to protect our members in the best way possible. This situation is unprecedented and we fully understand that some members may feel disappointed. Athletes are looking to build on the recent success of the Kent Indoor Championships and their goals for the coming summer season with their coaches and supporters. We should all continue to focus on these goals. The commitment shown by all of us every day is something that brings us together and of course we want this to continue.

However, the safety of our athletes, coaches, volunteers and parents is paramount – these are uncertain times and it is important that we remain calm and make logical decisions in the face of the news we see every day regarding the present situation.

We know that people will have concerns and please know that we will be looking to resume our efforts in the sport we all love as soon as possible.

Kind regards,
Bexley AC Committee
