Alongside his supportive presence at training, he quietly keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes as the club treasurer. He also continues to push his own boundaries, recently celebrating personal milestones by successfully improving his own 5km time through dedication and hard work which is evident each week at parkrun.
Emily Beet
A huge CONGRATS to Emily Beet, our very deserving September Runner of the Month for Group 4! Emily has had an incredible year so far, and September was yet another month where she showed just how far she is progressing.

Vitality 10K: Emily smashed her goal of running 10K in under an hour, finishing in an amazing 59:34!
That sub-one-hour 10K and sub 30min 5 km have been goals for Emily this year, and she has worked incredibly hard to make it happen. What a fantastic achievement! Emily is going from strength to strength, and we’re so excited to see what comes next. Congratulations, Emily — September Runner of the Month is thoroughly deserved!

Balbir Sunners
This month, Group 4’s Runner of the Month is Bal!
Bal joined us in December 2025 and has gone on to achieve an enormous amount in such a short time. In April, she took on the incredible challenge of the London Marathon, and throughout this year she has continued to take part in many, many races. Bal attends every training session (even if unwell) and is always ready to train.
Bal has also been a fantastic supporter of the Bexly Masters team, getting involved in the last two Masters events and helping the Ladies to victory.
And when Bal isn’t running, you’ll often find her giving back to the running community. She is a regular Tail Walker/runner at many London events and volunteers at just about any event she can! She also attends and volunteers at Bexley Parkrun every Saturday and some junior parkruns.
Bal, you truly embody the meaning of charity and giving. You give so generously of your time, helping others to experience the joy of running and being part of our wonderful community.

Celine Allano
We are pleased to announce Celine as our Runner of the Month for Group 2/3!
Celine has been a force of nature lately, and watching her evolution into such a strong endurance athlete has been inspiring. In April she was strong in running her first marathon distance with Julie and Beata —a spectacular milestone tackled with grace and grit. She then stretched her limits to conquer the grueling Chase the Sun 50km ultra marathon, showing us all what true mental and physical resilience looks like.
Celine’s passion for running was clearly demonstrated when waking up at 3:00am for the Summer Solstice run, chasing the dawn with a smile on her face. That unmatched dedication and love for the road makes her the absolute perfect fit for our running group. Congratulations Celine!

Jane Askew
The Group 4 Runner of the Month is Jane Askew.
Jane has come back to the group after a long break and has shown considerable personal resilience and improvement, attending training week after week. We like to celebrate people who have achieved so much but sometimes it’s not all about the races you have done or your latest PB’s, but rather quietly, steadfastly, turning up, working hard, being a positive group member and supportive of others and slowly but steadily increasing your fitness. Jane is an absolute pleasure to run with and have as a group member. We look forward to seeing your progression Jane and to support you in all that you do.
June 2026

Jon Fish
Our Group 1 Runner of the Month is Jon Fish, and what a fantastic addition he has been to the Road Running section. He’s settled in seamlessly, and his willingness to listen and take on feedback has made him a coach’s dream, while his easy-going nature means he genuinely gels with the other runners in the group.
And no, we’re not fishing for compliments when we say Jon is a pleasure to have on the team (sorry—we couldn’t resist!). With his dedication and attitude, we’re incredibly excited to see what’s next as he starts entering competitions and races in the second half of the year. If June is anything to go by, there are some brilliant performances on the horizon—watch this space, Jon!

Claire’s commitment this month has been nothing short of extraordinary. She has completed four events, highlighted by a standout performance at Biggin Hill’s charity 5km race, where she didn’t hesitate to take on the challenge of an incredibly early start on the runway. Beyond that, she has attended every single club session without fail, and has also tacked on three parkruns to her schedule. Her relentless positivity, unwavering attendance, and willingness to help others truly embody the spirit of this award—congratulations, Claire!
