As you are probably aware, the UK Government is invoking a countrywide lockdown from 5th November to 2nd December in the fight against COVID-19. This short update is to explain what this means to Bexley AC and its members.
Training tonight, Tuesday 3rd November
Sessions will go ahead as planned, please contact your coach as usual. Please ensure that your coach knows in advance that you are attending, and ensure you have a valid training pass or token. See below for more info about your November training pass.
Temporary Club Closure
Since the lockdown applies to gyms and leisure centres, this means that the track facility will be closed from Thursday 5th November until at least Wednesday 2nd December. Road Running sessions will also be postponed during this time, or until the Government restrictions are lifted. Even though the Club will be closed, please feel free to contact your coach. Our coaches are still available to provide support and advice should it be needed, especially if you want some guidance on training individually during lockdown.
November Training Passes
Many members have already purchased their T&F training passes for November, and you may still wish to do this ready for tonight’s session. Since today is the only day you will be able to use your November pass, all November passes will automatically be transferred to December passes after tonight’s sessions have been completed.
We thank you all again for your patience and compliance with the new operational procedures. All of the work and preparations carried our by our volunteers during the spring/summer period means that we will be ready and able to return to activity rapidly once we are permitted to do so.
We look forward to seeing you tonight, and again after we return from this second lockdown. Please stay safe and do your best to stay fit.
