If you are going to the Nationals at Sunderland we are having a short meeting on Thursday, to go through a points etc. If you could please pass this message on

Thank for the Kent schools

February 3rd, 2013 Comments off

I would like to thank everyone, but I think the message below from Paul Hill’s say’s all

Hi Kevins, and Bexley A.C.
I thought the KSAA championships went “swimmingly” yesterday. What a tremendous advertisement for your club.
I hope you got plenty of “thank you`s” yesterday. I know that Peter Lenton and John Batty, the race referees, were really impressed by the course marking, and level of marshalling. A big contribution by Steve Walker and course layers.

Of course, I had thank you`s from other KSAA people, but they know that your clubs contribution was huge. Typified by the fact that Mr Winch had visited Danson Park on Fri to give an update on course conditions.

Dare I say, I was able to enjoy yesterday, because I had such confidence in the arrangements you had put in place. I am sure you will pass on our thanks to everyone.

A big personal thanks from me, and the KSAA.

Paul

Southern’s cancelled but a new date for the Kent schools

January 21st, 2013 Comments off

It is with regret that we have heard that the Southern at Parliament Hill this Saturday 26th Jan has been cancelled due to the poor state of the course. If there is replacement date which I’m not convinced I will let you know ASAP.
On a positive note the Kent schools has been rescheduled for the 2nd February at Danson. Due to a number of other events on the same day we ask that we get as many volunteers to marshal and help set up as possible, please see myself Kevin Winch, Peter Griffiths, or in particular Steve Walker. Thanking you in advance – promise the weather would be very pleasant.

Dear Bexleyites

Unfortunately due to the poor weather, the Kent schools race for tomorrow morning January 19th has been cancelled. I would like to thank all those brave souls who were coming & supporting our club as we hosted the event on Saturday morning. We do hope that the races can take place again on the 2nd Feb. But please look out for confirmation.
Please enjoy your lay in tomorrow, and we promise to book a sunny spring day for the rematch

thank you Danson

December 1st, 2012 Comments off

Big thank you to the Orange Army, on a cold muddy day in Danson Park, we had loads of Bexley athletic members do their bit for the club, either setting up or standing at their marshal points. It was a great success – your hero’s. But we are also doing the Kent schools on the 19th Jan, any chance you can help out again cheers Kevin

London Youth Games – Team Gold for Bexley

November 24th, 2012 Comments off

London Youth Games – Report _ gold for Bexley Borough
On the 17th Nov, Bexley Borough sent a team to the London youth games for the first time in ages, I have attached the results and as you can see a large part of our success is down to members of our club. We were lucky to have the services of Holly Page from Dartford who done exceptionally well with 2nd. Other great performances Inc our own Ellen Newark 7th. But the gold team award went to Nick Armstrong, Joseph O’Hara, Stephen Ball (Cambridge Harriers) Billy Somogyi & Ben Matthews. With a bit of luck and there is no clash we will again try and repeat our success. Thanks go to Julie Fuller (Bexley Council) for organising inc the our wicked pink tops, Kevin Angell support from other parents RESULTS BELOW (Page down )– show the borough well placed in 7th overall with the rest of the London Youth Games to come in the summer months.
