Bexley Athletic Club

Bexley Athletic Club is offering a 10  week “Introduction to Running” course for adults on Sunday mornings from Erith Stadium, starting on Sunday 5 May at 10am.  The g0al is to run 3 miles/5 kilometres by the end of the course. The cost is £25 for the 10 week course, payable in full at the beginning and non-refundable. Payment by cash or cheque payable to “Bexley AC”.

A good opportunity to get fit for the Summer !

There will be a Tigers Quad Kids competition on Sunday 5 May. It will start at 10am prompt with registration at 9.45.

Quiz and Pizza night is on Friday 22 March at Inspire Community Trust Centre, 20 Whitehall Lane, Erith, DA8 2DH. Tickets must be booked in advance – see Rose Arnold, Nush Johnson, Hollie Ware or Karen Winfield. Adults £8, child (under 16) £6 including pizza. Bring your own drinks. Teams of 6 but don’t worry if you haven’t got a team we will sort out on the evening. Looking forward to seeing you.

For youngsters aged 11- 17 years old who live or study in the Borough of Bexley , the Mini Marathon Trials are being held at Erith (David Ives ) Stadium on SUNDAY 3rd MARCH 2013.  Closing Date for Entries 27th February.  Click on  the 2 links below  for full Details and Application Form  and print off.

Bexley Tigers have been invited to compete in the Bees Cross Country Challenge on Saturday 23 February at Norman Park athletics track. It is for children in school years 3 to 8 inclusive (and is open to any Bexley athlete in this age group). There will be 3 races as follows:

1. 10.30am – 1500m years 3 & 4 boys and girls

2. 10.50am – 2000m years 5  & 6 boys and girls

3. 11.20am – 2500 metres years 7 &8 boys and girls

Entry fee is £3.50 in advance and non- refundable or £5.00 on the day. Entry forms are available from the clubhouse. If you are interested please speak to Laura Crane or Karen Winfield

Dear Bexleyites

Unfortunately due to the poor weather, the Kent schools race for tomorrow morning January 19th has been cancelled. I would like to thank all those brave souls who were coming & supporting our club as we hosted the event on Saturday morning. We do hope that the races can take place again on the 2nd Feb. But please look out for confirmation.
Please enjoy your lay in tomorrow, and we promise to book a sunny spring day for the rematch

Tigers training will NOT take place on  Sunday 23 December & Sunday 30 December due to Christmas & New Year. Normal training resumes on Sunday 6 January 2013.
